Doie CTCP Machine Makes Business Faster For Printers

Recently, the company became the sole distributor of the DOIE UV- CTCP machine in Nigeria. Mr. Oderinu talks about the state of the art Computer to Convention Plate (CTCP) machine.

What is the most critical factor in the activities of your company?

We have set our priorities right when it comes to service delivery and customer relation. We go the extra miles in satisfying our customers. That is what gives us excitement at Damond Print.

Tell us about the machine your company just acquired?

It is actually a DOIE CCT machine that we just brought to Nigeria. Compared to other CCT machines around, it is very easy to maintain. It is an online machine with 64 channels. There is a bridge connecting the processor and the machine. At the extreme of the processor, there is a stacker. The plate comes out and goes into the stacker and it arranges the plates. It is an automatic CCT machine. You just need one person to operate and that reduces the size of the workforce.

Why did you decide to be using the DOIE machine?

We have been into the CCT business before now and we have seen where we lack behind. It is demanding when it comes to satisfying customers especially when you have so much work on ground. For this machine, it has online facilities and 64 channels. It takes just one minute to image 550mm x 650mm Kord plate and other CCT brands, the most you can get is two  and half minutes  to image one chord size.

Does that bring any advantage to printing activities?

In the CCT business, the number of plates you can make daily determines the amount of money you can make. In other words, m making more plates simply means making more money. Like I said earlier, it takes one minute to image 550mm x 650 mm Kord size plate when you are using the DOIE CCT. That means you can make 60 plates in one hour. Then, multiply that with the amount of hours you work in a day.

How will you describe the experience for over a month you have been using the machine?

It is has been exciting and fulfilling .Our customers have been coming and seeing their job coming out very fast gives us joy. Before, they would to wait for so many hours before their work is ready. Now, our CCT service is very fast. As a company, we are happy to see that our customers are getting value from our prompt service.

Are you the sole distributor in Nigeria?

Yes. What we actually do is to sell the machine. We have one in our office and people can and see it. Though, we render service to customers, they can also come to see how it works. Whatever technical questions they want to ask will be answered. In Nigeria, Damond Print is the sole distributor of the DOIE CCT machine in Nigeria.

How about getting technical support and availability of the spare parts?

There is a one year warranty on the machine and two year warranty on the Laser Diary. Anybody that buys the machine will not have any difficulty in getting after-sales service. We also have our trained engineers on ground. In fact, they don’t even have to come from outside the country except it is a critical case.

What will you say about the price?

The good thing about DOIE CCT machine is it is quite affordable.  The Return on Investment is high. Investing on this machine will not bring any regrets at all. If you have been into the business before, and you are making probably 100,000 or 200,000 naira per day, I can assure you that you will make more money because this is the fastest CCT machine in Nigeria presently. Remember, it has 64 channels and uses one minute to image on plate and that is a big leverage.

How is the payment plan like?

There is a flexible payment plan we are working on, but with the economic realities on ground in relation to the naira fall, we have not been able to conclude on the payment plan. That will be taken care of soon. Anybody that is interested can call us so that we can work out something.

How is your relationship with the manufacturer?

We have a solid relationship with the manufacturer. Whatever problem that needs to be fixed, we get a 24-hour service from them. And when it comes to technical issue, it can be solved quickly. If it is software, it is being solved online. We just connect through our viewer and the control of the machine is taken over by the computer and the correction is done. If it is mechanical problem, it won’t take more than few days to send the part and we will do the fixing.

What is the gap Damond Print is filling in the industry?

When we came into the printing industry, we realized that many things were lacking behind. One of them was creativity. There was no innovation. Time is important to us when it comes to service delivery. We want to get things done as fast as possible our clients. That is what makes us to work round the clock.
